The film tells the story of a group of four guys who managed to evade the bites of infected zombies, they will find refuge in a shopping-center (place metaphorical symbol with which Romero is the rampant consumism of modern society), but the danger not 'represented only by zombies. A gang of bikers will try the attack in the supermarket, making the survival of four more difficult. Romero conclude his trilogy with the zombies in 1985 with Day of the Dead.
