In a desert island there is a jail where rules and discipline have to be respected at every cost and Mrs. Steele takes care of it. Prisoners, sent there for unrevealed causes, try to run away for avoiding terribles tortures inflicted by the miss. This is the sequel of “Angel of Death” with even more gore, torture and sex. Based on a cult of the genre “Sexploitation” of 70s, titled CAGED WOMEN by Jess Franco, this film is surely a tribute, for understanding it, it’s enough to examinate the cast and the wonderful and nostalgic cameos (Jess Franco) of a genre already over. With the participation of Lina Romay (Jess’ partner) in the role of a director withouth mercy while thirty years before she played the part of the victim that his husband often committed her in his films. Bethmann is one of the more prolific directors in the last years, making film of rare violence and perversion (he’s very active in porno production too). He’s part of that german directors’ stand like Schnass, Ittembach, who predilige the ultragore, while is different the cinematographic dimension of Jorg Buttgereit (but not less excessive).
